    Senior baby pictures due for yearbook.

    Note to parents and guardians. Your student may also submit a baby photo for the yearbook. Please               include a brief (less than 60 words) message to your student.

 Oct. 25    Senior Party Registration due (registration forms can be dropped off in the high school office).                         This is NOT a school-sponsored event.

 April 21

   Senior Class Meeting 

   All seniors are required to attend the Senior Class Meeting in the PAC during Advisory. 

 April 30 - May 2                            

   Senior Speaker Sign up

   Any senior interested in delivering the “Reflections” or “Prospective” speech during the graduation                ceremony must sign up to try out by Friday, May 2, in the DHS Office.

 May 4

    Senior Graduation Commencement Speech Tryouts 

    Students who have signed up by May 2, will be given a time between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. on
    May 4 to audition. Auditions will be held with the high school prinicpal.  

 May 13

     Senior Graduation Signs Pick Up

     Senior Awards Night 
     7:30 p.m. in the Tiger Activities Center (door #1 of the high school)

  •  While all are welcome to watch the ceremony, only seniors and their families who are receiving     a recognition will receive an invitation from the high school. 
  •  While many of our seniors receive tremendous scholarships from their college of choice or             from private organizations not affiliated with DPS, we will only recognize scholarships received       from the Delano community.
  • The event will be livestreamed for guests who are unable to attend. Livestream information             will be available before the event.
 May 15    Senior survey due.
 May 19

   Graduation Cap and Gown Distribution 

  •   Seniors who have no outstanding fines and fees or academic restrictions can pick up their cap       and gown during WIN time.
  •   Students are encouraged to bring their gowns home, remove them from the packaging and            hang them up to reduce wrinkles.
 May 22   All Media (library) materials must be returned!
 May 25   No School - Memorial Day
 May 28

  Spring Fling / Senior Last Day of Classes

  •  Senior students who are not passing any class are required to attend school through the remainder of the year. 
  •  Seniors are encouraged to turn in their Chromebooks, clean out lockers and return all school         materials before the last day of class.
May 29

  Senior Breakfast/Graduation Rehearsal 

  •  8:15 until approximately 11 a.m.
  •  All seniors are required to attend. The event will start with a materials check in (chrome books        etc...if necessary), transition to a senior breakfast, and conclude with rehearsal.
  •  Students will be released upon completion of rehearsal (likely to be between 10 and 11 a.m.)
  •  Students will be reminded of graduation day instructions and expectations. 
 May 31

   Graduation Commencement Ceremony
   Each graduate will receive seven guest tickets to the ceremony

  • Ceremony begins at 1:30 p.m. in the Tiger Activity Center (door #1 of the high school). Doors open at 1 p.m. 
  • Students should check in at the East Wing between 12:45 p.m. and 1 p.m. 
  • Guests should not arrive before 12:45 p.m. 
  • Doors to the Tiger Activity Center will open at 1 p.m.  
  • The ceremony is expected to last approximately 75 minutes.
  • The event will be livestreamed. The livestream link will be posted closer to May 31, 2026.
 May 31     Graduation All night party - This is NOT a school sponsored event.

  DHS Office closed for the summer 

 Google accounts for graduating seniors will be deactivated. Seniors will lose access to their school   Google accounts. It is essential that prior to (date), any documents that students want to save should be     downloaded or transferred to another location.
