2025-2026 Back to School Information

The 2025-26 School Year is right around the corner!  Starting now, all returning families need to log in to Skyward Family Access and complete the “2025-26 School Year Paperwork”.  This paperwork is necessary so that we have updated transportation, health, and emergency contact information.  It is extremely beneficial to gather this information as early as possible so we appreciate your timely attention.  Further,  you will indicate your intentions to check out a school issued Chromebook.  In addition to completing the online “paperwork,”  please review the following items in preparation for the upcoming school year!

Student Schedules will be released at 4 p.m. on August 11, if your 2025-26 School Year Paperwork is complete.  Newly registered students do not have to complete the “paperwork.” We ask that students review their schedules and look for errors.  Any student/family in grades 9-12 who wishes to pursue a schedule change must attend a first come, first served schedule change session in the high school cafeteria on the dates below:

August 12, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

August 14, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

August 18, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Chromebooks
Again this year, DHS has Chromebooks available for students to use. Chromebooks are checked out every year and cannot be borrowed day-to-day. To help alleviate the lines that we have experienced in the past, you can reserve a Chromebook for your student(s) in grades 7-12 while completing your back to school paperwork in Skyward. Students who have reserved a device through the 2025-26 School Year Paperwork can pick-up their Chromebook in their advisor's room during the Open House. If you have not reserved a Chromebook for your student(s), Chromebooks can be checked out from the Help Desk, located in room 338. Students with any unpaid invoice will not be able to pick up a Chromebook until the invoice has been paid. All Chromebooks issued this year will be in a protective case. Cases are not to be removed. Please ensure your student's device has a charger and hinge cover before leaving the advisors room.

As in previous years, we recommend that you purchase insurance for the device. Insurance is $35 per incident and covers any accidental damage to the device. Insurance DOES NOT cover purposeful or reckless damage, or devices, cases and/or chargers that are not returned. In addition, at Chromebook return this year, a $25 charge will be assessed if stickers and/or writing needs to be cleaned from either the Chromebook or its case.

E-Learning Days
In lieu of school closures due to inclement weather, DHS utilizes a DHS E-Learning Plan (please review and be prepared in advance of inclement weather - Plan Ahead).

Transportation
Busing - families will be able to view busing information by August 27 using Skyward Family Access. Families who no longer need bus transportation should contact Stahlke Bus at 763-972-399.

Pick up Procedures
Parents or guardians who are dropping off or picking up students from school should review and follow the procedures. Student safety is our highest priority; following these procedures will maximize our care for students and maintain safe traffic flows.

Parking permits can be purchased for SENIORS ONLY using Affinety Solutions at this time.  Parking permits for remaining students who are 16+ will be available on August 11.  Limited spaces are available in the lower lot so seniors must get their spots reserved now.
