Delano High School

Delano High School is a comprehensive 7-12 school with a student enrollment of 1,200 students. The graduating class of 2022 had 196 students. 73% of the 75 faculty members hold advanced degrees.

Curriculum

A comprehensive curriculum of over 250 courses places emphasis on preparation for post-secondary opportunities. College in the Schools (CIS) courses offered to grades 11 and 12 include Calculus I and II, Chemistry I and II, Economics, Introduction to Statistics, Literature and Composition, Psychology, Spanish I, Writing Studio, and Mobile Computer Applications. Partner universities include St. Cloud State University, Southwest State University, and the University of Minnesota. Advanced Placement (AP) courses offered to grades 9, 10, 11, and 12 include Arts, Biology, Human Geography, US Government and Politics, and US History. Advanced Courses are available in language arts and mathematics beginning in grade 7 and advanced science is available in grade 9.

Grades are calculated on a 4.0 scale, AP and CIS grades are weighted an additional .66. Delano High School is a non-ranking high school. A=Excellent, B=Good, C=Satisfactory, D=Poor, F=Unsatisfactory; S=Satisfactory/Passing, U=Unsatisfactory, P=Passing; I=Incomplete
